Fields of application: Drilling, boring, reaming and thread cutting in single part and series production. WEILER's largest radial drilling machine
Advantages of the VO 104 radial drilling machine from WEILER:
Machine frame
The main parts of the machine frame are made of high-quality grey cast iron. The base frame has a large clamping surface for holding workpieces, tables or fixtures. The guide surfaces on the housing and cantilever are hardened and ground, the mating surfaces are scraped.
Headstock and drive
Sturdy grey cast iron housing with extendable quill. The drilling spindle is hardened, runs in permanently lubricated precision bearings and is characterised by high concentricity and smooth running. The headstock is fixed to the swivel arm by means of hydraulic-mechanical clamping. The spindle speeds and quill feeds are selected via a control panel. Switching takes place via the spindle start lever. Drilling depths are set with a fixed stop and rotating depth scale. The permissible drilling capacity is monitored by a safety feed clutch to prevent the machine from being overloaded. A start-up clutch enables smooth and soft spindle start-up. The spindle is braked and stopped via magnetic brakes on the shaft under the motor
