Description

Double-column machining center for multi-sided machining with 5-axis simultaneous control – table size 3,100 mm × 10,000 mm, distance between moving columns 3,750 mm, travel range B-axis -100° to +100°, travel range C-axis ±180

Spindles for the VERSATECH V-140N/440

  • 8,000 rpm spindle: With a power of 40 kW (40% c.d.f.), a maximum speed of 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 344 Nm, this spindle is ideal for machining steel workpieces.

  • High-speed spindle 12,000 rpm: The spindle with a power of 45 kW (40% c.d.f.) is designed for machining non-ferrous metals such as aluminum.

  • High-torque spindle 6,000 rpm: A spindle with a maximum torque of 1,218 Nm (15% duty cycle) is available as an option for heavy-duty machining.

High-speed version

The VERSATECH series is equipped with a ball screw for a maximum feed speed of the X and Y axes of up to 30 m/min. The rapid traverse speed (X axis) for the V-140N 360 and V-140N 440 models is 15 m/min.

High accuracy

The liquid-cooled ball screw ensures consistently high machining accuracy even during high-speed operation lasting several hours.

Volume compensation (optional)

By compensating for three-dimensional measurement errors within the entire machining range, spatial accuracy has been significantly improved compared to conventional indexing error compensation.

To compensate for position and angle errors in the VERSATECH V-140N/440 caused by axis movements, MAZATROL SmoothX supports the input of spatial error compensation data measured with an ETALON measuring instrument (laser tracer).

5-axis simultaneous machining (optional)

The VERSATECH V-140N/440 has a B-axis and C-axis, which eliminates the need to change the spindle head and thus reduces machining time.

5-axis simultaneous machining is available as an option and is ideal for machining complex surfaces such as those found in components for the tool and mold making and aerospace industries.

B-axis

C-axis
