Spindles can be selected according to material properties

The high-rigidity spindle is suitable for heavy-duty machining of demanding materials and steel, as well as for high-speed machining of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum. Mazak offers special spindle variants for high speeds and high torque.

Smooth Ai spindle

AI-based technology in the VARIAXIS i-700 NEO detects vibrations in the milling spindle and automatically adjusts the machining conditions. This results in outstanding surface quality and maximum productivity. With AI, even an inexperienced operator can easily make adjustments in a short time.

Factory preparation for hydraulic clamping devices

The setup of the VARIAXIS i-700 NEO can be optionally supported by hydraulic devices that enable the workpiece to be clamped and released. For machines equipped with a single table, there are up to 9 ports, while the version with a 2-pallet changer has 4 ports in the machine itself and up to 8 ports at the workpiece setup station. Pneumatic clamping devices are also available.

Double pallet changer

The optional pallet changer for the VARIAXIS i-700 NEO ensures fast workpiece changeover, enabling continuous machining over long periods of time. For higher productivity, the next workpiece can be set up while the current operation is being machined. The compact dual pallet changer is designed for series production. The reduced length of the rear chip conveyor saves space in the maintenance area.

Tool magazine

The tool magazine of the VARIAXIS i-700 NEO offers a standard capacity of 30 tools. Optionally available for 40, 80, and 120 tools. The spacious magazine offers ample storage capacity for complex workpieces, high-mix production, and replacement tools for continuous machining over long periods of time.
