SLANT TURN 550M (universal version 4000U)

The SLANT TURN 550M enables highly efficient machining at full power even in low speed ranges. The two-stage switching process allows high spindle speeds and high torques to be achieved.
It has a high-performance milling spindle that can compete with small machining centers. The SLANT TURN 550M is capable of highly efficient milling/turning. A high-torque version is also available as an option.
The maximum available face plate size of the SLANT TURN series is Φ410 mm – the largest for this class of turning centers. The positioning time is significantly reduced by CNC operation. The tailstock can be moved much closer to the face plate to enlarge the machining area.
The tailstock quill can be extended by 250 mm, allowing both long and short shaft workpieces to be clamped. This means that the steady rest no longer needs to be removed when changing from long to short shaft workpieces.
