The process integration of gear manufacturing enables high-precision machining while reducing machining time and acquisition costs.
In order to meet a wide range of requirements, three gear cutting processes (shaving, hobbing, and end milling) are integrated to fulfill different requirements, from high quantities with low product variance to series production.
Tool paths and measurements can be created quickly and easily using dialog programming.
The INTEGREX AG series combines turning, milling, 5-axis machining, and gear cutting processes in a single machine (see figure).

The INTEGREX i-250H S AG meets your production requirements: from flexible machining with simple end mills to series production with special tools. In addition, gear measurement can be performed directly in the machine.
Shaving with small milling cutters and carbide milling cutters
High-precision skiving with the unique CNC control technology of the INTEGREX i-250H S AG. The precision of the rotational synchronization between the turn-mill spindle and the mill spindle is maintained even at the maximum speed of each spindle.
Hobbing
Intuitive settings are used to perform gear manufacturing with special hobbing cutters. The hobbing cutter, which is mounted on one side only, offers ISO class 7 machining accuracy. The "Smooth Gear Hobbing" programming support software includes unique functions. The "hob shift" shifts the machining point of the hob for each pass to extend tool life, and the "microgeometry" modifies the point where the teeth meet after gear manufacturing.
End milling
You can use standard end mills in the INTEGREX i-250H S AG. Thanks to the special Smooth Gear Milling software, gear manufacturing can be performed one tooth at a time with a conventional end mill. The "Tooth Profile Correction Function" and the "Tooth Lead Correction Function" modify the machined teeth. The function offers ISO Class 5 (formerly JIS Class 1) machining accuracy.
