Six main spindles, up to two swivelling synchronous spindles and up to twelve tool carriers, which can be freely configured as X/Z cross slides, X grooving slides or Z drilling slides: With the INDEX MS32-6 multi-spindle automatic lathe, which can be configured to meet specific requirements, INDEX offers a machine concept that fulfils all requirements and the highest demands.
Set-up times are minimised thanks to the new INDEX quick clamping system, the patented W gear manufacturing and the ergonomic open-front work area. Maximum dynamics and minimum non-productive times are further prerequisites for low unit costs.
Machine concept of the INDEX MS32-6
The modular system
The centrepiece: The spindle drum
The compact spindle drum enables maximum precision in every position thanks to the use of Hirth gear manufacturing.
Six fluid-cooled motor spindles integrated in the spindle drum form the centrepiece. Infinitely variable speed control, high torque, small size, maintenance-free and modern synchronous technology - these are the criteria by which you can recognise an INDEX CNC multi-spindle automatic lathe.
Independent speeds
During machining, the optimum speed can always be programmed for each spindle position and each tool cutting edge - which can even be varied during tool engagement.
The result is optimised chip breakage, maximum surface quality, short cycle times and longer tool life. You can also machine high-strength materials that were previously unsuitable for multi-spindle machines Speed changes are possible during drum indexing, so there are no additional non-productive times.
