The INDEX B500 universal turning machine impresses with its innovative machine design and takes universal turning to a new dimension.
The rigid and vibration-damping machine bed in mineral cast block construction ensures the best results when machining complex workpieces from batch size 1. With high spindle torque up to the upper Speed ranges, even difficult-to-machine materials can be reliably machined. A special feature of the INDEX B500 is the completely redesigned, clearly structured working area for a wide range of applications.
A turning lenght of up to 1,200 mm allows for a wide range of machining options. With the optionally available Counter spindle, rear machining can be performed with high accuracy.
The ergonomic design ensures quick setup and easy operation of the machine.
The proven INDEX iXpanel operating concept and the 18.5" touch monitor provide the operator with all relevant data for economical production and access to networked production at all times.

The INDEX B500 CNC universal turning machine represents the consistent further development of proven manufacturing solutions.
Individually equipped, this new flexible universal turning machine is ideal for tool and prototype construction as well as production. Decades of expertise in universal turning are reflected in numerous design details, such as a pocket in the sheet metal cladding above the main spindle, which allows the collision-free use of very long boring bars, and much more.
Ergonomic operating concept
The generously dimensioned work area ensures optimum accessibility when setting up the INDEX B500. The main spindle and tool turret of the universal turning machine are easily accessible, ensuring fast and flexible setup and changeover. The well-designed work area concept with steeply sloping and smooth covers allows for ideal chip fall and prevents chip accumulation.
