This two-spindle version is a standard solution for gears. The integrated transport allows gears with different diameters to be transferred. This means that the user only needs one device under each spindle.
When fine machining high-precision components, the perfect interaction of all components involved in the honing process, such as the honing tool, cutting tool, fixture, infeed and measuring systems, is crucial. In order to achieve optimum results, the components must be matched to each other according to the machining task. This manufacturer offers the complete package from the cutting bar to the machine.
The single-edge tool in this series, for example, is specially designed for honing high-precision bores in a diameter range of 3 to 15 mm. The tool connection and honing shank are joined by means of "thermal shrinking". This joint is characterised by high concentricity (≤ 5 μm) and high rigidity, which ensures the transmission of high torques and axial forces.
The tool systems in this series offer another special feature: From a diameter of 5 mm, you can equip the tools with an active cutting edge retraction. By eliminating the return bush for cutting tools, the tool structure is shortened, thus increasing stability.
In addition, contact with the bore wall is avoided when the tool is extended, which benefits the bore quality.
Suitable automation concepts enable automatic loading/unloading via robots or gantry loaders.
