CNC turning centre for series production with multiple turrets and previously unavailable functions

Turning shops handle very high production volumes with short lead times and extremely high demands on accuracy. This beltless multi-turret turning centre with 8 integral motors is suitable for machining complex workpieces. The driven turret is oil-cooled and the spindles reduce the acceleration time by half.

The movements on the X3 and Z3 axes enable unique functionalities:

  • An optional tailstock enables machining between the chuck/collet and tailstock while the workpiece is being finished on the Counter spindle.

  • Work with 3 tools simultaneously.

  • The vertical offset of the counter spindle reduces interference when machining longer workpieces.

Turret

  • 24-position turret with hydraulic locking
  • Locking by large-diameter Curvic tooth clutches (high stability and precision)
  • Equipped with two motors: The first motor is used for indexing the turret disc (indexes 30º in 170 ms). The second is an integrated motor that drives the driven tool at 14 kW, 42 Nm and 12000 rpm.

Simultaneous operation with tailstock and Counter spindle

As an option, the CNC turning centre can be equipped with a tailstock mounted on the counter spindle body. This allows you to work between the chuck or collet chuck and the tailstock while the workpiece is being finished on the counter spindle.

Simultaneous machining with 3 tools

This CNC turning Center has two turrets, but the control has 3 channels in which 3 programs can run simultaneously, each with its own correction value. The Counter spindle (axes X3 and Z3) can work in the third CNC channel in composite with the upper or lower turret. In other words, for machining with three tools simultaneously, two tools can be placed on each of the two turrets (upper and lower).
