Hybrid machine for compact 5-axis directed energy deposition and integrated 5-axis turn-mill machining

The additive manufacturing unit (also known as the AM module or additive manufacturing unit) mounted on the integrated turning/milling centre enables both (simultaneous 5-axis) directed energy deposition and simultaneous 5-axis machining, allowing complex workpieces to be machined in just one clamping process. In addition, repair and coating processes can be efficiently integrated into the production process. The LASERTEC 3000 DED hybrid 2nd generation offers customers completely new application possibilities.

AM Assistant (option)

  • Your reliable assistant for additive manufacturing processes: monitors the size and temperature of the melt pool and dynamically adjusts the laser power based on the monitored values to ensure a stable build-up
  • Melt pool monitoring: continuous monitoring of the melt pool conditions
  • Working distance monitoring: measures and monitors the distance between the nozzle and the melt pool
  • Automatic powder calibration: automatic measurement of the powder flow rate; different materials can be mixed using a powder feed system with two hoppers (optional)

Compact AM head: maximum main laser power 3 kW

2 AM nozzle types: coaxial nozzle for highly efficient vertical deposition; MultiJet nozzle for precise deposition during AM head rotation

Laser safety disc and laser safety barrier ensure safe operation
